B. Braun Medical (India) Pvt. Ltd., in collaboration with the Infusion Nurses Society (INS), has earned a prestigious entry into the Asia Book of Records with a historic initiative titled ‘Maximum Nurses Taking Virtual Pledge for Awareness on Infection Prevention’. The achievement was formally announced at a grand ceremony held on June 1, 2024, at Radisson Blu, New Delhi.
The record-setting initiative, conducted between April 15 and April 30, 2024, saw an overwhelming 33,290 nurses from across India unite virtually to take a pledge focused on enhancing awareness around infection prevention. The campaign stands as a powerful testament to the dedication of healthcare professionals and the collective spirit of India’s nursing community.
As part of the nationwide effort, B. Braun India partnered with over 500 hospitals, with more than 200 team members coordinating on-ground efforts to mobilize participation. This initiative reflects B. Braun’s continued commitment to “Sharing Expertise” and its vision to protect and improve the health of people around the world.
“Nurses are the frontline defenders in the battle against hospital-associated infections (HAIs). Through this initiative, we aimed to empower them with awareness and reaffirm the importance of evidence-based infection control practices in clinical care,” said Mr. Navin Hans, Vice President – Sales & Marketing (Hospital Care & Avitum). “We are proud to have collaborated with INS and deeply grateful to the 33,290 nurses whose enthusiastic participation made this vision a reality.”

The celebration event was attended by distinguished leaders including Dr. Yongji Fu, Vice President - Head of R&D Asia Pacific; Dr. Pinaki Ghosh, Director - Health Economics & Outcomes Research, Asia Pacific; Mr. Vivek Veerbhan, General Manager – Regulatory, Government Affairs & CSR; along with several other B. Braun India colleagues.
