The following detailed information on data protection explains which personal data (which hereinafter includes an equivalent term as per applicable data protection law) is collected on our websites and which personal data we process and use in what way.
Data protection is important to us and we take it very seriously. We rely on a trusting cooperation with you and make every effort to fully satisfy you - this naturally also applies to the handling of your personal data. Our external service providers are bound by our instructions and are regularly monitored.
In our company, compliance is monitored by our data protection officers. Our employees are trained to handle personal data and have committed to comply with the respective data protection legislation.
As a general rule, our website can be used without providing personal data or information or any sensitive personal data or information. Insofar as personal data (e.g. name, address or e-mail addresses) or any sensitive personal data or information are collected, this is always done, as far as possible, on a voluntary basis. B. This website uses SSL encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as for example, the inquiries that you send to us as the website provider. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser line.
If SSL encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.
If you submit inquiries to us via the contact form, we store your information, including the contact information you provide there, in order to process your inquiry and in the event of any follow-up inquiries. We do not share this data without your consent. The data that arises in this context is deleted once storage thereof is no longer necessary, or processing thereof is restricted if there are statutory storage obligations.
By giving us your consent when contacting us via our form, you have opted to be informed about future offers and products (e.g. newsletters, forms, etc.) from the B. Braun Group. In this context your personal data may be transferred to the United States to a contractually bound and carefully selected service provider. The level of data protection in the United Stated cannot be compared with European standards, which is why an adequate level of data protection cannot be guaranteed at all times. In order to guarantee the security of your data as well as possible, B. Braun India takes the necessary protective measures. For example, your data is transferred to the United States in accordance with the principle of purpose limitation and data minimisation with the result that only the information that is absolutely necessary and has been provided by you is stored.
Use of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud
We use the remarketing functions of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud of the service provider salesforce.com, Inc. The Landmark @ One Market Street, Suite 300, San Francisco, CA 94105, USA ("Salesforce"). If you have given your consent to receive our newsletters and visit our website via a newsletter, web beacons are used. This enables us to track the effectiveness of our newsletters, e.g. whether you have opened an email or which part of the newsletter was particularly interesting.
For this purpose, we use e.g. the tracking methods "Email Open Tracking" and "Email Link Tracking".
Email Open Tracking: Here we track whether you have opened the newsletter via the 1x1 pixel in the HTML template described below.
Email Link Tracking: Here we track whether a link was clicked within the email (click-through). For this purpose, the links are converted into trackable links by the Marketing Cloud.
Salesforce uses so-called web beacons in the majority of the emails sent. Web beacons (also called ClearGIFs or tracking pixels) are small graphics (GIF files approximately 1×1 in size) that are used on websites or in HTML emails, among other things. Web beacons fulfil similar functions as cookies but are not noticeable to the user. In particular, web beacons can be used to obtain information about whether the email has been opened and whether the user's system is capable of receiving HTML emails. No personal data is collected via the web beacon.
If you would not like to receive email messages with web beacons, you can alternatively receive your emails in text format (not in the HTML format) by changing the appropriate settings within your email client and by blocking the receipt of HTML formatted mails.
Your personal data will not be forwarded to third parties (i.e. outside the B. Braun Group) unless you have given us your prior consent. Excluded from this provision is the forwarding to service partners, such as for example parcel service providers or freight forwarders, if the transmission is necessary for the order processing or delivery of the goods.
The logistics service providers receive the data required for delivery for their own use. We limit the transferred data to the necessary extent.
In addition, other service providers are involved, such as IT service providers or the hosting service provider for the website. These companies work for B. Braun India within the framework of so-called processing on behalf of B. Braun India and may only use personal data in accordance with our instructions. B. Braun India has obligated these service providers to the General Data Protection Regulation or applicable law as per contract and monitors these companies.
Further excluded is the transfer of data for the management of orders, the delivery of goods or services, and for accounting purposes within the B. Braun Group. To transfer the data, it may be stored in the cloud application salesforce.com, Inc. The Landmark @ One Market Street, Suite 300, San Francisco, CA 94105, USA ("Salesforce") (see section 15). Beyond this, no data is transferred to third parties without your consent.
In all these cases, the data is transferred in accordance with the applicable national and European data protection provisions; the scope of the data transferred is limited to the necessary minimum.
By signing up to receive a newsletter that is offered, you give your consent to the processing of your name and e-mail address and information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the e-mail address provided. You are also confirming that you agree to receive the newsletter.
In the case of mailing, your address is also required. Your data is processed exclusively for the requested newsletter; your data is not used for any other purpose. Your data is also not passed on to third parties. Our registration system ensures that you only receive the selected newsletter by sending you a registration e-mail with a confirmation link (known as “double opt-in” procedure). You can withdraw your consent to the processing of personal data, the e-mail address and its use for sending the newsletter at any time, for example via the "unsubscribe" link in the newsletter.
If you order the newsletter via our contact form, we process your request in our Salesforce Marketing Cloud (see section 15).

When you register to receive free information (e.g. download a white paper, attend a webinar/event), you give your consent to the processing of your name and email address and information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the email address provided. You also confirm that in return for providing this information, you give your consent to the use of your data for marketing purposes. For this purpose, we process your request in our Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Sales Cloud (see section 15).

If the information regarding use of the website that is generated by the cookie is transferred to an Adobe server, then the settings ensure that the IP address is anonymised before geolocation and replaced by a generic IP address before storage. Adobe utilizes this information on behalf of the operator of this website in order to evaluate usage of this website by the user, to compile reports on website activity for the website operator and to perform additional services connected with use of the website and the Internet in respect of the website operator. The IP address transferred by your browser as part of Adobe Analytics is not combined with other data from Adobe. You can prevent the storage of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly. However, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all the functions of this website. We have concluded a data processing contract with Adobe and fully implement the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities/ as required under applicable law when using Adobe Analytics.
In order to protect contact forms on our website from spam and misuse, we use the "Friendly Captcha" service from Friendly Captcha GmbH (Germany). By using this service, it is possible to distinguish whether the corresponding input is of human origin or is abusive due to automated machine processing.
The tool prevents automated and abusive requests by so-called "bots". As part of this process, your IP address is captured by Friendly Captcha to send a cryptographic task to your device. This task is solved in the background and as soon as it is solved, a confirmation is sent by Friendly Captcha to the server that this is a natural person.

This website uses Lead Forensics, a B2B sales and marketing enablement tool. It is operated by Lead Forensics, UK Headquarters, Communication House, 26 York Street, London, W1U 6PZ, UK.
The Lead Forensics tool uses a tracking code for identifying companies visiting our websites by their business IP addresses. This is not the same as cookies. The Lead Forensics tracking code only provides information that is readily available in the public domain. It does not and cannot provide individual, personal or sensitive data about who has visited our website. Under no circumstances will the data be used to personally identify individual visitors. If IP addresses are collected, they are anonymised immediately after collection. The information generated by the Lead Forensics tracking code is transferred to the Lead Forensics tool and processed and stored in the UK in a secure environment.
The Lead Forensics Tool does not provide us with IP addresses. It provides us with information about which companies have visited our website, the date and duration of their visit and the web pages they visit. This information allows us to analyse the use of our website and eventually contact these companies about their experience or for sales purposes. As an international company, to be able to guarantee you the best service, we transfer this information to our subsidiaries and distributors as necessary. Within our website, we use the "Facebook pixel" of Meta Platforms Inc (USA). This allows users' behaviour to be tracked after they have seen or clicked on a Facebook ad. This process is used to evaluate the effectiveness of Facebook advertisements for statistical and market research purposes and can help to optimise advertising measures.
The data collected is anonymous for us, so it does not give us any indication of the identity of the users. However, the data is stored and processed by Facebook so that a connection to the respective user profile is possible and Facebook can use the data for its own advertising purposes in accordance with the Facebook data usage policy. You can enable Facebook as well as its partners to connect advertising ads to Facebook and including external websites. A cookie can also be stored on your computer for these purposes. To generally object to the use of cookies on your computer, you can set your Internet browser to prevent cookies from being placed on your computer in the future or to delete cookies that have already been placed. LinkedIn Insight Conversion Tracking
We use the LinkedIn Insight Conversion Tool of LinkedIn Inc. (USA), which allows us to obtain information about the use of our website and to present advertising content that is tailored to your interests on other websites. For this purpose, a cookie with a validity of 120 days is set in your browser, which enables LinkedIn to recognise you when you visit a website. LinkedIn uses this data to create anonymous ad activity reports and information about how you interact with our website.

Google Ads & Conversion Tracking
We place Google Ads advertisements to draw attention to our products. We use "Google Conversion Tracking", a service provided by Google Inc (USA). These ads are displayed when users enter search queries on websites of the Google advertising network. We have the option of combining our ads with certain search terms. We use cookies to place advertisements based on users' previous visits on our website.
When a user clicks on an ad, a cookie is set on the user's computer by Google. Further information on the cookie technology used can also be found in Google's information on website statistics and privacy policy.
With the help of this technology, Google and B. Braun India are notified when a user clicks on an advertisement and is redirected to our websites. The information obtained in this context is exclusively used for statistical analysis to optimise the ads. We do not receive any information that personally identifies a user. The statistics provided to us by Google include the total number of users who clicked on one of our ads and, if applicable, whether they were redirected to a page on our website that was tagged with a conversion tag. These statistics allow us to understand which search terms led to the most frequent clicks on our ads and which advertisements resulted in a user filling out the contact form.
You can prevent the storage of the cookie required for these technologies, for example, via the settings of your browser. In this case, your visit will not be included in the user statistics.

Funnelytics
We use Funnelytics by Funnelytics Inc (Canada). This is a technology service that helps us better understand our users' experiences (how they navigate websites, how they react to different websites, what content they like and dislike, etc.). This allows us to build and maintain our service with feedback from users. Funnelytics uses cookies to collect data about user behaviour and devices used.
The data collected by Funnelytics are IP address (captured and stored in anonymised form only), device type (unique device identifiers), browser information and geographical location (country only).

B. Braun India or Group maintains its own sites on various social networks in order to enable an exchange with interested users or customers and to be able to inform these groups about the B. Braun India product portfolio. B. Braun India does not process any user data in social networks itself and can only analyse and use the data that have been anonymised by Facebook, for example. In the process, user data may be transferred to countries outside India. Furthermore, the user data collected is processed for marketing purposes, for example to define target groups and then display targeted advertising material to them on the respective social media platform. To make this possible, the social network/the relevant provider of the social network frequently stores cookies that contain the users’ online behaviour, interests and similar. User profiles on the respective platforms can also contain data that is stored irrespective of the end device. The legal basis for this kind of processing is the legitimate interest of B. Braun India or as permitted under applicable law, in functional and stable communication with users via the respective online presence.
The social media providers may request your consent to the relevant data processing. In this case, the legal basis for the data processing would be that specific consent. As a data subject affected by the processing, you can assert various rights against the controller (more information see section 25). Please note, however, that as a basic principle, exercising these rights as a data subject makes the most sense if you do so directly with the platform provider. As a general rule, only the platform providers have direct access to the processed data and are the only ones who can take appropriate measures. Of course, we are at your disposal if you have any further questions in this regard.

Third-party content may be used within the B. Braun India website (so-called plugins). These can appear in the form of YouTube videos, RSS feeds or graphics of other websites or also by social media buttons such as the Facebook share button.
If you are on a B. Braun India website, on which content of third parties is integrated, a connection will be set up with the respective social network under certain circumstances. This means that the content of the buttons can be transferred to your browser and integrated into the website by it. This means that the respective provider always receives the information that you have opened the B. Braun India website. It is irrelevant whether you are a member of a social network or not logged into such a network. Furthermore, irrespective of whether you actually interact with the embedded content, information is automatically collected by the social network. B. Braun India has no influence on the scope of the data collected by the social networks. For information on the nature, scope and purpose of the processing, the further processing of the data and your rights and possible settings to protect your privacy, please refer to the privacy policy of the respective social network. You also have the option of blocking social media plug-ins by means of add-ons in your browser and thus preventing data transfer.
Facebook plugins
Plugins of the social network Facebook, provider Meta Platforms Inc. (USA) are integrated on our websites. You can recognise the Facebook plugins by the Facebook logo on our website. You can find an overview of the Facebook plugins here: http://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/.
When you visit our websites, a direct connection is established between your browser and the Facebook server via the plugin. Facebook thereby receives the information that you have visited our website with your IP address. Facebook can hereby allocate the visit to our website to your user account. We would like to point out that we, as the provider of the websites, have no knowledge of the content of the transferred data or the processing thereof by Facebook.

LinkedIn Plugin
Our website uses functions of the LinkedIn network. The provider is LinkedIn Inc (USA). A connection to servers of LinkedIn will be set up with each call of one of our websites, which contains functions of LinkedIn. LinkedIn is informed that you have visited our website with your IP address. If you click the LinkedIn "Recommend" button and are logged into your LinkedIn account, it is possible for LinkedIn to link your visit to our website with you and your user account. YouTube Plugin
Our website uses plugins from the YouTube site operated by Google. The operator of the websites is YouTube LLC (USA). When you visit one of our websites fitted with a YouTube plugin, a connection to the YouTube servers is established. It communicates to the Youtube server which of our websites you visited. If you are logged into your YouTube account, you enable YouTube to link your behaviour directly to your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.

Google Maps
In order to show you interactive maps directly on the website and to make the comfortable use of the map function possible, we integrate Google Maps from the service provider Google LLC (USA) on our websites. In order to use these services, the IP address of the user is transferred to Google. The IP address is required for the display of this content but is only used to deliver the content. Your location data will not be collected by Google without your consent (usually part of your device settings).

Whatsapp
We use the sharing button of the messenger service WhatsApp from the provider Meta Platforms Inc (USA). The sharing buttons allow you to share a post or website using WhatsApp. The WhatsApp sharing button is merely a link to the provider WhatsApp. Therefore, no data flows to WhatsApp simply by calling up our website.
If you actively use the WhatsApp button, a direct connection is established between your browser and the WhatsApp server via the plugin. WhatsApp thereby receives the information that you have visited our website with your IP address. B. Braun India uses the ad format "Lead Gen Forms" on LinkedIn and so-called "Lead Ads" on Facebook. Lead Gen Forms and Leads Ads are forms that have already been partially pre-filled with LinkedIn/Facebook profile data, with which users can register for a B. Braun India event or request contact depending on the content of the form. Purpose of data processing: We use the LinkedIn tools to find suitable contacts for us and our products and services and to contact them directly via the integrated messaging function on LinkedIn with the intention of presenting our products and services. We also use the LinkedIn tools to update our customer data in our Salesforce CRM system or to transfer new potential contacts to our Salesforce CRM system as leads and process them there.

We conduct the surveys in order to continuously develop and improve our products and services. When you participate in a satisfaction survey, only so-called "log data" (date and time stamp / information about your browser and your browser settings / information about your terminal device / usage data) are processed. For internal surveys we use the software "Forms" from Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd, One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland. The data is stored on Microsoft's servers within the EU and processed by us as data controller.
When you use our extranet, you must enter some personal data which we process to orientate our offered range of service to your needs based upon this. You can manage your personal data at any time under "My profile". Interaction with experts
Via the Extranet you can exchange and network with employees of B. Braun. You will receive new information within the framework of your business network with B. Braun employees by e-mail to the address provided by you.
Log files
Please note that in addition to the data you enter, the IP address from which you visit our extranet is also stored and may be used to secure claims and for evidentiary purposes. Further processing of the IP address data does not take place; instead, logging occurs exclusively within the scope of preventive measures. Access to information and email notifications
After successful identification and registration, you will receive access at My B. Braun to various information, documents and applications.
Free e-mail messages will be offered to you in My B. Braun.
